Away Team Report!

Discovery Place is an educational center where children of all ages (that includes the big ones, like us!) can learn about many aspects of science. It's an exciting place!

The USS Alaric sent 9 crew members on this expedition (the Heim's, the Bolick's, Dale Anderson, Joe McCollum, and David Moxley). Our trip from Asheville was generally uneventful (well, we had our own version of Jack Hopkins' "I'm not done yet!", but we never got lost, honest!).

The other ships who participated (in order of crew size present) included the USS Hawkeye (4 - Dave Klingman, Greg Phillips, Matt Myers and Amy Alexander), USS Hornet (2 - Mary Kane and Jamie Delantonas), USS Dominator (2 - Carl and Rita Lewis), USS Reprisal (1 - John Kiwi Kane), and USS Ronald E. McNair (1 - Henry DuBose). (Thanks, Mary and Dave, for the head count and i.d.'s!) All in all, a great turnout!
