Captain's Day
Art Contest

 
Perhaps you all remember 'Captain Picard Day' from the Next Generation episode, "The Pegasus"? Well, in that spirit, you are invited to participate in the Captain's Day Art Contest, hosted by the USS Alaric, Asheville's chapter of STARFLEET. All rules for the contest are listed below. Choose one of the five captains pictured here and let your creative juices flow!
 
 
Art Contest Rules:


  1. CATEGORY 1, HANDMADE ART
    1 - Entries can be any medium chosen by the maker. Some ideas: drawings, sculptures, carvings, paper mach`e, paper piecing, mosaic...it can be sewn, glued, tied together...you can make the whole thing out of toothpicks if you want. Use your imagination!


  2. 2- Entries must be of one of the following five captains: James Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Benjamin Sisko, Kathryn Janeway or Jonathan Archer

  3.  

  4. 3- Entries must be original artwork, NOT from a kit or model


  5. CATEGORY 2, COMPUTER-GENERATED ART
    1 Entries may be a "morphed" or altered digital picture


  6. 2 Entries must be of one of the following five captains: James Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Benjamin Sisko, Kathryn Janeway or Jonathan Archer

Entrants may choose ONE of the two categories in which to enter.
All Region One crews are invited to attend the display/judging on August 26TH.


Winners in each category will receive prizes as follows:
1st: $20 gift certificate to Amazon.com, 2nd: $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com,
3rd: $5 gift certificate to Amazon.com

Judging will take place on August 26. You do not have to be present to
enter the contest, or to win.
